Set up biometric info

Direct in browser

This section will show you how to set up your biometric infos to log in to the app

  • Step 3. Choose your identity, click Register

!

  • Step 4. Set up biometric on mobile phone

If you did not set up your biometric on your phone yet, choose Receive help setting up authentication and follow the instructions

  • Step 5. If you already setting up biometric authentication on your phone or complete Step 4, click Register

  • Step 6. Choose mobile device for your account

Choose Add a new android phone
It will give you a QR code for you to scan it with your phone

If you use mobile browser

Use your biometric info on your phone to verify

  • Step 7. Login

Open app, click Login button
A login form will open

  • Step 8. Choose login method

Choose biometric (the login method can be different depends on project)

  • Step 9. Use your biometric info to log in

Reset Biometric authenticators

Instead of Register, now you will see the Reset button

  • Step 3. Click Reset

  • Step 4. Register again

Now you have to register again with new biometric authenticator

In-direct through mobile app

This section will show you

  1. How to use your biometric authenticator to log in to the mobile app
  2. Set up your biometric infos for your mobile app (or Attach your biometric infos into your account)
  • Step 1. Open the mobile app

Choose login

We will see there are 3 login methods

  1. Biometric Authentication
    • You can only use this when you finish setting up biometric in Identify me
  2. Username & password - Mobile Biometric Authentication
    • You can use this to set up biometric for your account if your account does not have biometric info yet
    • If your account already has biometric info, biometric info will act as 2nd factor
  3. Username & password
    • The standard way to log in
  • Step 2. Log in with Biometric Authentication

If you want to log in with the first method - Biometric Authentication, you need to set up your biometric info. Read here

  • Step 3. Log in with Username & password - Mobile Biometric Authentication (using biometric as second factor)

If you did not set up biometric info yet, you can use the second method - Username & password - Mobile Biometric Authentication to register your biometric info

After logging in, you will see

  • Step 4. If you already setting up biometric authentication on your phone or complete Step 3, click Register

The following screen will be shown

Choose Use this device with screen lock and then use your biometric info to log in

  • Step 5. Register biometric info successfully

The next time you use the app, you can use Biometric Authentication method to log in

Limitation

  • This is not a native feature
  • Does not support android face recognition well
  • Does not support iOS yet
