    Casewhere versioning

Casewhere versioning has the form MAJOR.RAPID.MINOR.PATCH where:

    • MAJOR: Major releases are made available when there are incompatible changes that require manual data migration. For example, version 2.0 is a major release where we migrated from RavenDB to MongoDB.
    • RAPID: Rapid releases are made available approximately once each quarter and generally mark the introduction of new features and improvements.
    • MINOR: Minor releases are made available when there is functionality added in a backward-compatible manner. There is no fixed schedule for minor releases, mainly when customer projects demand new features.
    • PATCH: Patch releases are made available when there are backward-compatible bug fixes.
